In Perth, the solar panel rebate works through the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, which helps reduce the cost of installing solar systems. When you install solar panels, you can receive Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which lower the upfront price of your system. The number of certificates depends on the size of your system and where you live. Your installer usually handles the process of claiming these certificates on your behalf lowering the upfront cost of your solar system, making it easier for you to save money. Additionally, there may be other state or local rebates available.
The size of the solar system you need depends on factors such as your electricity consumption, roof size, and future energy needs. When you contact SolarKings, we use information like your previous power bills, the size of your property, and whether you have energy-intensive appliances like a pool or air conditioning to determine the best system for you. We’ll walk you through the data using calculations and share insights from previous clients with similar circumstances, showing how much they’ve saved with their solar systems.
Solar panels generate electricity by converting sunlight into energy, which means they only produce power when the sun is shining. At night, when there is no sunlight, solar panels cannot produce electricity. However, if you have a solar battery system, any excess energy generated during the day can be stored for use at night or on extremely cloudy days.
